Building Trust is More Effective Than Plain Online Advertising

November 6th, 2007

Online advertising is not a credible source. Many forget about
taking advantage of credible sources when they plan out to start
an online business; majority just put a lot of money aside for
online advertising. Having a lot of capital to gain exposure on
the web is good, and will most likely build some credibility to
your site, if you site turns out to look professional with great
service. Online advertising doesn’t guarantee any sale or
business for you, but usually, you can get some 0.05% conversion
rate with online advertising. Don’t get me wrong, you can get a
better conversion rate with online advertising too, but you will
be spending a lot of money.

So what’s better than online advertising? Building trust and
showing credibility of your site and business.

How do you do that? The easiest and most commonly used method is
press release of your new business or website.

Why is credible source so important? Because there are many scam
artists out there who can always use the same advertising
methods with keywords and etc to expose themselves like you. You
may be sincere with your business, but with all the scams out
there, we are losing the internet users’ trust.

Can’t scam artists use press release for themselves? Sure they
can, but it is an uncommon way to advertise for scam artists.
Press release don’t bring much traffic as it would with other
commonly used advertising methods, and it can be costly too.
Also, when you distribute a press release, hundreds of editors
and journalists will be reading your source, and if it turns out
to be not credible, you can be in big trouble.

So what can you do?

Don’t expect much in return with press releases, but you do have
some chance of getting more media interest from other companies,
which will get you more exposure, and it’s free. If you are a
lucky one, you can get millions of visitors to your site without
paying a dime for advertising.

Hire someone to write an appeal press release for you, and use a
distributing service to send your press release to other editors
and journalists. Get your press release to be added to Google
News and Yahoo News, as well as other major news search engine
sites. With the right service, you can get great exposure, and
get a good ROI.

Anything else?

Nothing can beat word-of-mouth advertising. It’s credibile and
it’s free. If your friend tells you that this particular
restuarant is good, you will keep that in mind and maybe go try
it out in the near future. And if you are happy with the place,
you may recommend to another friend, and that friend may suggest
it to another friend etc. It will cause a viral effect, and it
can really spread.

There are many other advertising methods out there, either
credible or not very credible. Depending on what you are doing
with your business, credible source may be very helpful.

Becoming an Internet Entrepreneur - Tips and Tricks

November 3rd, 2007

To get you fast-tracked, we have included a vast selection of tips and tricks to make your online business a success that it deserves to be.

1) First of all, choose a domain name that is somehow related to the business you are in. For example, if you are looking for a domain name for your pillow business, you might want to try using a name like www.SquarePillows.com or www.PillowSleep.com. It is important to use a “real” domain name. Your visitors will not take your business seriously if you use a free domain name like www.tripod.com/squarepillows , or www.angelfire.com/pillowsleep . A lot of the good domain names are already spoken for, but if you are patient enough, you will search and find one that is still available. If you think that you will need more than one domain name, get that one now too, as thousands of names are taken up each day. Do a search under “Google” using “cheap domain names” as your search words. You will find some very reasonably priced domain registrars. The cheapest one that I have found so far is at www.GoDaddy.com. They are a full service operation offering web hosting and cheap, cheap, cheap domain registration.

2) You will need a hosting service for your domain name. The hosting service allows your domain name and all of its content to be viewed on the internet. This is easy to handle. You have basically two choices here. You can pay for the hosting service or get it for free. If money is not really a problem for you, then you may want to choose the paid version. Just do a search using “Google” with “web hosting” as your search words, and take your pick from the thousands of sites. You will find that the price charged varies wildly depending the services required. Now if you want to explore the free version…. There are a lot of free hosting companies on the internet. The problem with these free hosting companies is that they all require some sort of pop-up banner, static header or footer banner, or both, to be placed on each and every web page. These banners can contain all kinds of advertising, and some, or all of it, may not be welcome to the viewers on your web site. The free hosting option is certainly not the best one to explore. To save you time, I would recommend www.GoDaddy.com again for the most economical hosting of your web site.

3) Once you have your domain name and hosting service taken care of, you will probably need a way of uploading your web content to your site. Sometimes your web hosting service provider includes a site manager that allows this function. If not, then you might want to look into downloading some FTP software such as WS_FTP for example at www.ipswitch.com. While you are downloading software, you may also want to add WINZIP – located at www.WinZip.com to your download list. WINZIP allows you to “unzip” your “PillowSleep” file for example. A file is initially “zipped” to compress it for ease of downloading. To use this download zip file, you will have to “unzip” it first.

4) Your “PillowSleep” site probably needs a little more customizing. Look at other pillow sites on the internet for comparison and see what could be improved visually on your site. Does it need any flashy graphics? There are many free graphics available on the internet - just do a search with google. Once you are happy with the way your web site looks, it’s now time to focus on that fun part – html coding. Unless you are very comfortable using “html” coding, don’t touch the “html” coding on the “PillowSleep” pages at all. If you are comfortable using “hml”, then you could add things like Title, Meta Keywords, Meta Descriptions, etc., which would allow the search engines to find your web site much easier. The use of “keyword phrases” is much more useful than just using “keywords”, because it makes your web site more search specific. Go ahead and add a “Pillow” links page too. Another tip is always keep a hard copy of your web pages somewhere, either on a floppy, cd, or dvd. There are few things worse than customizing a web site and if something bad happens to your computer or hard drive, losing the web content forever.

5) At this point, you probably already have uploaded your web site and have it online. Now you need to “drive” visitors to your site. One popular way of bringing traffic to your site is to use a free link exchange or free link trading service. For the free link exchange service, you just sign up and put a little bit of code on your “Pillow” web site (this allows other Pillow web site banners to be viewed on your site and vice versa). The free link trading service is very simple also. You simply add another pillow’s link to your links page and vice versa. This trading of links increases your sites popularity greatly with the search engines. One of the most important things you can do to gain traffic is to get listed with the major search engines. Go to each search engine, or use a free service like www.AddMe.com and add your web site there. There is also what is called “pay-per-click” search engines where you actually pay for traffic sent to your web site. Other search engines require payment in order to get listed with them at all. “Yahoo” is one of these “pay” search engines.

6) Please be advised that is illegal to “Spam” on the internet or via e-mail. Spamming is sending unwanted e-mails or putting internet advertising material, or internet material in general where it should not be. That being said, another method of marketing and promoting your site is to add your site to casino and gambling message boards and free for all links pages. Please check to see if it is ok to post your info there first, and in which category, and anywhere else before posting there. If you “Spam”, you risk losing your internet service provider, and possibly your web host with all of your web content. It’s just not worth the trouble.

7) Another way of promoting your site is to add your web site address to your business cards, and/or make up flyers and posters. Don’t forget to get permission before you post anything anywhere. If you have other web sites, add a banner and/or link to your “Pillow” site there. Make a t-shirt with your “Pillow” graphic and web address on it (on both sides of the t-shirt) for yourself to wear. If you want, add your “Pillow” graphic logo and web address to different products like baseball caps and coffee mugs, and give them away as promotional items. Buy an ad on a bus stop, or a small classified ad in the local paper, or radio ad, etc. How about getting two of those “12 inch x 12 inch” sticky, bendable, removable, flat, “magnet ads” made up at your local printing store to put on the sides of your vehicle’s doors. When you drive around the city, every body will see your web site ad and when you get to your destination, simply take the sign off until you leave again. How about putting one of your “Pillow” flyers or small posters on the inside of your vehicle’s rear side glass areas. Just make sure it doesn’t obscure your vision. The idea is to use your creativity here.

8) I hope these pointers are of good use to you. Good luck with your online web business!!!

Signatures — The Long and Short of It

October 25th, 2007

What is the accepted standard for signatures? Who sets these standards? The signatures in question are those blurbs that we include after the body of our main message content in our emails for the purpose of identification and contacts.

I’m really not referring to signatures in the respect that Usenet Newsgroups see them. It is pretty much agreed by established netiquette that Usenet signatures should be limited to five lines or less. They should, or may, contain:

  1. Your name: Doug Davis

  2. Your email: dougd@cros.net

  3. Your company: Northern Research

  4. What you do: Publisher

  5. Your URL: http://www.couch-potato-marketing.com/ezine

You can shave a line or two from the above by combining your name and email address plus your company with what you do:

Doug Davis dougd@cros.net

Northern Research, Publisher

http://www.couch-potato-marketing.com/ezine

Getting away from Usenet and, some lists, into the real nitty-gritty of internet marketing, signatures have become a way of sticking that extra ad in there. For better or worse we seem to be stuck with this practice, so don’t expect it to go away soon.

How wide should your signature be?

Text terminals usually had and have a width of 80 characters; this means they can display just as many characters in one row. This is the practical reason why the ultimate text width of email messages and sigs should be no more than 80 characters.

But this doesn’t work very well in practice. We reply, we forward, we quote, and each time we do we add those little angle brackets to the lines of text in our messages, “>>>>.” So we end up having short lines and long lines staggered throughout the text. This looks very unprofessional, even if you’re just sending to friends. That’s why all the recommendations for different line lengths. Some will not set their character length to anything greater than 72; some 74, others 76, etc.

In publishing ezines and newsletters online, however, the standard seems to be 65 characters. This is what most submission guidelines that I have read, recommend. My ezine wraps with hard carriage returns at 65 characters. Almost all of the article submissions I receive are wrapped at 65 characters. If they’re not, then I have to reformat them to fit my layout. I don’t like reformatting — it’s a time wasting task I could do without.

Naturally, sigs in my ezine, and many others, can’t be longer than 65 characters either.

How many lines?

It depends, I suppose, on where you are posting or sending your emails. Discussion lists should be about the same as Usenet, in my opinion. On the other hand if you are posting to opt-in mailing lists for the purpose of advertising your business offerings, there are no rules. It’s whatever you can get by with really. Who cares whether you have 20 lines of text and a 4-line sig? How about 4 lines of text and a 20-line sig?

I have exactly 128 separate sigs in my MS Outlook 2000 sig file. Some of these are actually 12 line, or more, ads; it’s just easier to paste them into the email that way.

Remember the aim of your signature is to be read. If you have a humongous sig it not only won’t be read, it will possibly provoke anger — an emotion you don’t need in your prospective customers.

Signature Dashes

The “signature dashes” actually is a line which is used as the first line of a signature. This is described in the “son-of-rfc1036″: If a poster or posting agent does append a signature to an article, the signature SHOULD be preceded with a delimiter line containing (only) two hyphens (ASCII 45) followed by one blank (ASCII 32).

The sigdashes act as a separator which allows easy recognition of signatures. This line consists of two dashes and a trailing space, ie “– ” (note the space) and thus can be recognized in a data stream as the character sequence “(newline)(dash)(dash)(space)(newline)”. Some programs recognize a signature by the (sigdashes).

Let me make this perfectly clear: There are no additional characters before, after or in between. This means no whitespace before the dashes, no additional dashes, one space at the end, followed only by an newline which ends the line. That’s it!

Synopsis:

If you are posting to newsgroups or discussion lists keep your sig as short as possible; try not to go over four lines. Personal messages probably should be the same; why would you need all that sig space when you have the entire body of the message?

When I’m posting ads to opt-in lists I usually don’t include a sig at all. I want the ad to be the focus, not the sig.

Traits of Super Adsense Earner

October 21st, 2007

To some others, Google AdSense is just like finding and digging money on the street, at everywhere and anywhere. There are story and “legend” about mom and dad, housewives, home entrepreneurs, retirees and even kids still studying are making and generating good money, some even hitting thousands of dollars good income per month with Google Adsense program.

For these people, whom I termed as “Internet Adventurers”, they could hardly earn a small little dime via the Internet (inclusive my humble self too) before this G’s Revolution (wow, “G’s Revolution!”). With Google Adsense, there is this door to have and “own the opportunity” in creating incomes comparable to working full time in brick and mortal world. By simply putting in Google AdSense Ads code on their website, or the more popular and easier way via blogging, you are all ready to go and become the next “Super G AdSense” earner.

We have even heard of those “Elite” groups who continuously refine their strategy and truly on track to achieve a million dollars per year or more thru their AdSense sites. But don’t be easily mistaken that these groups of people are just like ordinary man on street wondering around without clear objectives. They have a very clear direction of what to do, what should be done, and with a focus mind.

Over the time, I realized that there are 3 important basic traits of those “Super” Adsense Earners do have in common. To see if you could made it like what they did, let’s examine these basic and important traits:

1. Treat it as True Real Business of Your Own.

Learning from the “legend”, they really treat their AdSense business as a REAL business empire. They track almost everything they do. Follow this basic and foremost important strategy. Start to track what you did that truly produces the kind of desired result.

Analyze what’s work and what’s not working. Most people don’t even realize the reason of their own failure, and simply give up or blame it back on Google. By analyzing your own path, it could keep you from making the same mistake unknowingly again and again. And at the same time, you can just follow and repeat those areas that worked.

2. Decide on The Purpose of your Website.

The world is fair. You can’t have the best of everything. So you got to decide on the main objective for your website. What is its main goal? Your website cannot and should not be everything for everybody. It is not a junk place!!

Ok, if you decided to have a full fledged e-commerce website for business, filled with good selection of products, jointed up with other links with more selections…let me share with you, it is not an ideal site for Google AdSense Program. It is not the type of website you should be building for displaying Adsense ads.

The primary objective of such e-commerce site is to sell, so let it just do that. You would not want to confuse your valuable visitors with too many options, don’t you? What you want is to make them decide what they want fast, not browse around and close it because they simply can’t decide what to do. Help them to decide, and to decide fast.

After browsing around for some time, and learning thru other sites, my belief is that the best AdSense websites are truly built for AdSense. These are the sites that only provide content, and sell nothing at all but just feeding information. These are the websites that “Feed Information”, not intended to “Sell” anything at all other than providing information.

3. Stay Focus and Keep Your Consistency.

In order to be truly successful for the Google Adsense Program, you must stay focus and be consistent in building up your network. For you, this is not like those instances where you just have to build one site, promote, sell….etc.

Keep in mind that you must continuously building sites in order to achieve that kind of good income thru Adsense program. The more sites you build, the greater the potential of returns. But bewares, don’t simply spam the SE with junk sites.

Google is smart enough to know it, and your sites will face the consequences of being dropped and worst if your Adsense Account gets suspended. That’s the end of your Adsense venture. Full Stop and that is. Google hardly will re-activate a suspended account unless you have a real good out of this world explanation. And that’s if only you could reach the human behind its auto-responder.

If you are to see yourself as the next mega buck earner with Adsense program, ask yourself on the above traits. Do you have it? Can you discipline yourself in those mentioned areas? Be clear of ourselves before all other things come in. If the answer is a strong “Yes” – Cheer to yourself. But even if it is “NO”, we can always improve on it don’t we?

To reach success in whatever we do, continuous improvement is the key. Yeah, everyone is in rush and attracted to Google Adsense. Me too, looking forward to earn some income from Google AdSense. But well, till date I have yet to make it good.

Let’s look forward shall we?

Canon PowerShot A620 Review

September 29th, 2007

Is there such a thing as a perfect digital camera? Because many people prefer different features and different things when it comes to digital cameras, there is most definitely not one camera that is perfect for everyone. There are, however, some cameras that are practically perfect for most people, including the Canon PowerShot A620.

The Canon PowerShot A620 delivers such quality pictures, you will not be able to believe that you have done without it for so long. The Canon PowerShot A620 is also very versatile – it is not just your basic point-and-shoot camera. It has many different settings so that you can be creative and customize your shots.

In addition to all of its point-and-shoot features, the Canon PowerShot A620 can take 58mm filters by using the lens adapter which twists on and has a screw in at the wide end where you would normally put on the wide angle lens or telephoto lens. The adapter can act like a lens hood. Also, the this Canon has practically no shutter delay, and most Canon PowerShot A620 reviews agree that the flappable LCD screen is an excellent feature.

As if these great features of the Canon PowerShot A620 were not enough, the camera also has features that really keep the user in mind. It even has a special setting called “kids and dogs.” You know how kids and dogs will never sit still long enough for you to get a great photo. Well, with the “kids and dogs” setting on your Canon PowerShot A620 digital camera, your photos of your precious babies will come out clear.

The Canon PowerShot A620 has an awesome 7.1 megapixels of resolution and a 4x optical zoom / 4x digital zoom. It comes with auto and manual focus and also auto and manual exposure. It takes 4 “AA” batteries and has a movie mode with sound.

For optimal photo storage, it is suggested that you purchase a 256 MB card so that you can hold more photos than the 32 MB Secure Digital card that comes with the Canon A620 digital camera.

At last the answer to my prayers

September 28th, 2007

I am 71 years old and always believed in some way I could
generate an Internet income. I have tried many things but have
never given up, always believing I would find a way.

A few days ago a friend sent me an email advising me to take a
look at a particular website. He said someone by the name of
Brian Campbell who is a successful Internet Marketeer was giving
away a FREE training course like no other on the Internet.

So it not costing me anything to take a look, I punched in the
URL and downloaded it. I was amazed at what was there. Three
e-books and over twelve hours of videos with lots more to come.

He was giving anyone who wanted to take up the offer, the chance
to be as successful as himself doing exactly what he did,
leading you by the hand, step by step, nothing left out. Most of
the other “Guru’s” tell you how they did it, but Brian Campbell
shows you through the videos. It is just as if he was sitting
there with you, it is easy to understand, no techy mumbo jumbo.

One of the strategies he uses in order to be successful on the
Internet is what he calls the shotgun method. It is to be in a
niche market and he shows you how he finds a way to do this. He
advises to find a market that is big on sales. For example if it
were the health and nutrition market the keywords “health and
nutrition” would be so competitive that it would not be
advisable to just be in this market, so you would have to look
for products and services associated with this market. For
example a problem for people in the Health & Nutrition market
could be “high blood pressure” and you could have information on
how to combat this through natural products.

Taking the shotgun analogy as “health and nutrition” would be
the main market, where most of the shot would end up if fired at
a target, then as it splattered outward we would come to “high
blood pressure” and then further out we would come to “natural
remedy for high blood pressure”. This is just an example of how
this works. Our niche would be “Natural remedies for high blood
pressure”. .here the cost of all the associated keywords for
this market would not be so expensive.

This is just one of the many ideas and methods in this course
and it is all FREE. Too good to be true? YES but this time it is
TRUE. If you want to make it on the Internet I advise you taking
a look. I have found this to be so helpful and am indebted to my
friend for sending me the email. If you hang in there long
enough you will find a way. Thank you for reading this article
and I wish you every success.

Understanding Adsense

September 21st, 2007

There are a lot of people out there making a lot of money using Adsense - however most of them are not telling their secrets - well not for free anyway.

I am going to assume a few things in this article to cut down the amount of introductory comments I have to make. Here is what I am assuming:

1. You have a blog/website. Most of the following tips will apply to other types of websites also.

2. You have read overview of Adsense and have some understanding of what it is.

3. You have read the program policies as outlined by Google. These give details of site eligibility, ad placements and other requirements for using the system.

The next question is: Is your blog suitable for Adsense? - Before you rush into signing up for Adsense expecting it to earn you a million dollars it is worth asking the question of whether Adsense is the right revenue strategy for your blog/Website.

There are some amazing success stories out there but I will be concentrating on only few elements that will impact your Adsense earning capacity the most:

Adsense revenue, traffic levels, high paying ads, relevant ads and optimally positioned and designed ads.

Every above elements contribute to the total revenue that your Adsense ads will produce. You should have all these elements as strong as possible, because otherwise it will hold back your potential earnings.

Traffic is of course very important, because the more people that see you Adsense Ads, the more likelihood there is that someone will click on them. Work on increasing your traffic levels and you should see an increase in your Adsense Revenue.

High paying ads are giving you the best payoff, if you don¡¦t have a list of high paying keywords, scroll down this article and click on the link on the bottom to go to getmemoney.net, and you will get 20 top paying adsense keywords to build your blog/website around.

Your ads have to be relevant. The ads are displayed by content of your blog/website, so increase the relevancy of your Ads to your content and you are one step closer to increasing your Adsense revenue.

The ads have to optimally positioned. You can choose any color scheme and position your ads anywhere on your blog/website, make sure they are visible and not outside content of your page. Put them in strategic places and blend them in the color scheme or your page.

How do you increase the traffic to your webpage then?

Quality, Interesting, Useful and Original Content - What are the blogs that people read the most? This is essential to increasing your readership unless you have some amazing trick to bring readers in.

Be generous with your links to other bloggers/websites big and small. You¡¦ll be surprised how many links come back your way. This not only brings traffic from their sites but helps your ranking in Google.

Update frequently. If you don’t update your blog/wesite content in over one month the previous interested readers will not come back.

In my next article I will be concentrating more on how to get more traffic to your website. Feel free to visit my getmemoney.net page (link below) for the highest paying adsense keywords at the monment.

Search Engines & Web Directories

September 15th, 2007

The so called search box should be given a correct name “search engine” which can be further divided into keyword search engines and web directories. Web surfers can make use these two types of searching methods alternatively for better search results.

Search engines accumulated their data volume through spiders or robots that work among billions of websites and collect them back to the databases and index them into good order for future query by web surfers. Complicated algorithm will perform calculations and pick up right results according to keywords provided by web surfers.

There are virtually countless websites for spiders to crawl. How spiders crawl these sites? They start crawling those sites that attract bigger volume, coming to the end through sophisticated internal links. And that is the reason why website should always be linked to high traffic site for optimum market exposure.

Search engine crawlers will crawl web pages periodically for updated contents. The newly added contents should be available to web surfers at the next database updates which normally take few days up to few months.

At the moment, there are two types of submissions are available: paid inclusion and pay for placement. Through paid inclusions, websites can be indexed into database efficiently including your newly added contents. However, your paid inclusion does not guarantee your rankings in search engines. The best advice would be having a perfectly optimized web page ready before any paid procedures.

Pay for placement will give you immediate ranking for any targeted keywords. The higher you bid the better your ranking will be. And pay per click system will let advertisers have more say as to how their advertising budget will be corrected allocated. Normally, these search engines have many affiliates to cover more advertising areas.

Unlike Search Engines send out spiders to crawl websites automatically, the web directories accumulate their database manually by human editors. The most important web directory is the Open Directory Project (www.dmoz.org) that compiles databases manually and indexed websites of extreme high quality and unique contents.

To submit urls to web directories, you must first make sure if the site you are going to submit has been indexed already. You can check up this by entering your website url in the search box. Then choose the category that best correspond to your products and services.
After you get the proper category, submit your site by clicking the button of suggest a site or suggest url and follow the instructions. In the mean time, correct titles, descriptions, keyword meta etc should be well written. Promotional adjectives such the best and the most should be avoided.

Following strictly the rules listed would be our heart and soul suggestion to get your site listed successfully.

How to Save Money by Making Your Own Sign

September 9th, 2007

In the sign industry we commonly refer to the material that the sign is made out of as the substrate. Examples include, wood, vinyl banners, aluminum, coroplast, etc. But what many customers do not realize is that they can purchase vinyl lettering or vinyl decals and apply them directly to typical substrates themselves. Translation – saving money by buying blank substrates inexpensively at local hardware stores such as Home Depot and Lowes and avoiding the prices sign companies need to charge to apply the material. Although you do pay tax by buying locally on the substrate, you can save tax on the vinyl by ordering over the internet.

What are vinyl letters and/or vinyl decals? They are letters (or images) that come prespaced according to customer specifications as words, phrases, or sentences on pre masking tape. The lettering is self adhesive and by removing the paper backing, they can be applied directly to almost any substrate, car, boat, truck, windows, snowmobiles, jet skis, vans, store fronts, etc. Make sure the surface is extremely clean and free of dust or lint. Once the lettering or decal has been aligned, simply rub over the masking covering the vinyl and then remove it. The result will be perfectly spaced lettering or a decal designed as ordered with a professional look. Most sign companies will allow you to purchase multiple lines of vinyl lettering with the spacing between the lines defined by you. You can also usually obtain a combination of vinyl lettering and images on one decal.

Another tack you may wish to consider is to have the entire sign printed on vinyl made to fit the substrate you prepurchased (with a small bleed of additional vinyl to wrap around the sides). We must caution you that this is a bit more tricky to apply than vinyl lettering, but problems can be overcome with care and some suggestions. When applying the vinyl to the substrate, remove the paper backing about two inches at a time, align, and then press or roll it on the surface. We recommend a roller for the application (roller applicator). Once the first part is properly aligned and applied, remove another two inches of the backing and proceed in this manner with the rest of the sign. Another trick is to moisten the substrate so you can move the vinyl if you accidentally align it improperly when first applied. The water prevents it from adhering permanently for a few seconds.

When you apply vinyl, it is inevitable that you will run into the “bubble” problem. Tiny bubbles of captured air will form under the vinyl. Usually these can be worked out with the roller but in some circumstances, they will remain. A blow dryer (not too hot) can be used to heat the vinyl up so that the air can be rolled out easier. Under some circumstances if the bubble is large, the vinyl can be heated and the bubble punctured with a pin (careful here – only a tiny hole is needed). Be careful not to heat the vinyl too much because it can permanently deform it.

Recently, a new product has been introduced which enables the vinyl to be adjusted if it is pressed on but incorrectly aligned. The adhesive does not seal permanently for a few hours after it is applied. The material is a bit more expensive but well worth it if you are inexperienced. Don’t feel bad. I know many sign companies that are now going to the easy stick vinyl to avoid large overhead costs caused by mistakes with the old permanent seal vinyl.

Top Paying Keywords: How to Increase Your Pay Per Click Returns

September 6th, 2007

There is no doubting the success of Google’s Adsense program. Even Yahoo! and Kanoodle have joined in on the game, offering to join publishers with advertisers. Given the right circumstances, its a win / win situation for both.

There have been many sites that promote Top Paying Keywords and how if you add these keywords you can instantly improve your Adsense revenue. However, if you really want to see a dramatic increase in pay per clicks, you need to ensure 2 very important areas are addressed. They seem very obvious, but many site owners miss the opportunity to attract higher paying ads simply because they ignore these two areas.

Optimization

Many “would be” web designers decide to build a site around the highest paying keywords, yet, forget to optimize their site around a specific keyword. Instead, they forget the basics of how to properly create a title tag, page description, keyword density and having clean search engine spider friendly code.
Remember, it’s the source code that the Adsense and Kanoodle programs are using to decide what ads will appear. If your top 2 keywords are “insurance” and “downloads”, you may find that you end up with ads regarding “insurance downloads” which of course will not pay much.

Also, having a high keyword density score for the keyword can get you into trouble with the search engines (specifically Google). Keywords spamming is never a good idea.

Optimize your page and you will search more hits to that page and not confuse the bots that create the ads for you.

Content

This is by far the most important and most missed tips. If you are going to include top paying keywords on your site, remember, if you want to attract high paying ads, you need to be selling your visitor on what your advertiser wants. Your content should sell to the visitors needs. Why should your visitor consider car insurance? What are the benefits of car insurance? Where can they get the best quotes? If you pique the interest of your visitor, they are more likely to click on your ads than if they feel that they are not getting the information they came to your site for in the first place.

Your content should have a specific flow to it. If you start jamming keywords into your content, your visitor will automatically suspect that you are trying to deceive them. Once you do that, they are gone! Why waste your visitors time after working so hard to get them to your site in the first place?
Well optimized, focused content will always produce better, higher paying ads. That is why you are a publisher: you want those high paying ads on your site. What use though are those high paying keywords if your content doesn’t pique your visitors curiosity? Be passionate about your content, and the click through rates will skyrocket!

Its also important to make sure that you are using the right number of ads per page, but that is for another article!
